History of PCAIn the summer of 2002, a group of local parents gathered together to discuss the creation of a non-denominational K-12 Christian School in Georgetown. After an enthusiastic response, a committee was assembled to start laying the foundation of what would soon become Providence Christian Academy.
In November 2002, the name Providence Christian Academy was officially adopted, and the vision of many parents, grandparents and friends began to take shape.
After more than a year of planning and prayer, the board of Providence Christian Academy met with a group of parents interested in starting a Christian preschool in Georgetown. The two parties felt led by God to join resources and in August 2004, Providence Christian Academy opened its doors with both, a Pre-K program, and a Kindergarten class with eight students.
By 2007, Providence Christian Academy along with Harmony Christian Church, relocated to a new campus located in the refurbished former Wal-Mart building on Southgate Drive. The school continues to offer quality Christian education in its preschool classes, from age 2 to Pre-K, and grade school classes, from Kindergarten through Fifth grade.
We look forward to future opportunities to serve our community by adding a new class grade each year through Twelfth grade.
